the Cat Shelter
I started volunteering for a few weeks before taking my leave on the 27th March due to some disagreements I had with the owner regarding certain morality and ethical clashes
Despite this I did learn how to handle and cleanup after cats, regular maintenance, and also it warmed me up a little to carrying, holding and bathing them

Rocket: a 2 month-old kitten birthed by Tiny, a cat with siblings that grew much larger than her and therefore was abandoned as she had a condition preventing her from growing to match her siblings' sizes
Rocket was adopted when I left, he loved playing with the steam mop when I was cleaning up in the main room, very cute kitten

Litter of 4 birthed by "mama" during Chinese New Year weekend:
- 3 girls, 1 ginger is the boy - they were 2 weeks old when I started playing with them
- very adorable kittens and they all got adopted with their mom which is lovely
- i got to shower both the calico girls and made them into "purritos"
Overall experience at the cat shelter with the cats was really nice, however the only issue I had was with the owner, a genuinely bitter, abrasive and MAGA crazy cat lady. What the Google Reviews say about her are real, and the honest best thing she could do with her energy is take care of these abandoned cats, although I'm not so sure if she's profiting off them now that I think about it, since she charges a fee when giving cats up for adoption, plus when visitors are visiting with the intention to adopt. So I'm better off now that I've left, and if I've got the itch to get some dose of cats again I'll probably just go volunteer at another shelter, probably one that is run by a younger or more ethical bunch of people
