MDSL Intern Day 7
Guitar pedals!
Death by Audio Soundwave Breakdown Fuzz and Keeley Compressor pedal (2-knob version)

Learnt a lot about potentiometers & true-bypass switches and different switch types (poles and throws)

Keeley Compressor pedal was probably one of the first versions of the pedal before Keeley became a huge brand for pedals - could not find a commercial schematic for it anywhere, the ones available online are for the 4-knob versions

Amp troubles
Fender Priceton Reverb amp: still could not figure out why reverb channel is still buzzing
Did a few tests with chopsticking:
- found out ceramic capacitor on the reverb tank return was microphonic including the leads connected to it
LinnDrum
Tested with new RAM Battery, sounds great and memory was retained after powering on from off state

After working with a few analog machines I think I'm really getting into analog drum sounds - there's this intriguing lo-fi character that I can't quite put my finger on and yet I really love it
There's also something about the way the sequencers in these machines work, I think I love that they all function with similar concepts of holding down a function button to use said function, i.e. creating a pattern/ recording a pattern - very cool, it makes me think of how people used to interact with these instruments and how technology used to have so many buttons and knobs instead of touch screens
