- learned that a small circuit with an IC is capable of driving a 8ohm speaker, no matter what physical size
- also that when an inductor (any guitar pickup that is a coil) is connected to a resistor i.e. VR1 in the above circuit, a "tone suck" phenomenon will occur, where the input impedance of the circuit will be limited by the size of that resistor of the input, in this case the max input impedance of the circuit is 10k, changing the pot to a 100k will increase the input impedance and resolve the "tone suck" problem
