KL JULY 2026 TOUR

StudioFONO: what an experience! it was our first time playing outside of Singapore and it was genuinely so cool meeting new people and playing to new people - what an honour too, to meet the man behind FONO, Taka, and a few other artists in the community

CERO: performing as the 2nd night in a row!! heard from a friend that this is basically the "GTown" of KL, and it was a really nice space with really chill people too!

The weirdest thing about these performances was that there wasn't a moment where I felt nervous at all, even when there were mishaps with our trip - I think it was something about the way people work in KL compared with the way people are in Singapore, they're way less judgemental, and genuinely chill - they don't care about ticket sales / anything money-centric, it's more about the vibe and maintaining the vibe, and even then no one gave off any bad vibes. Compared to my experiences of performing in Singapore, it just feels so nerve-wracking because there's always something to be anxious about, like "how many people are gna show up", "would we sell out", "what can't i do on stage", etc. and all these things contribute to the overall vibe.

Exploring KL itself was really nice too, the local businesses and community feel really supportive, and there were so many places to thrift!! Art spaces like RexKL, GMBB were all so eye-opening seeing as these aren't spaces "forced" by the government, they're mostly independent / home-grown and it's really nice to see that they're supported by their community (different from singapore when art spaces mostly survive because the government gives incentives to locals to support them .-.)
